When “Sure, I Can Do It” Becomes Your Default Answer

“Can you take this up?”
“Could you just stay a little longer?”
“I know it’s short notice, but…”
And before you’ve even checked your workload, your calendar or your own capacity, you’ve already said:
“Sure.”
Maybe you’re worried about appearing uncooperative. Maybe you don’t want your manager or colleagues to think you’re incapable. Maybe saying no feels uncomfortable when everyone else seems to be managing.
So you keep taking things on.
Until your workload grows, your boundaries blur and resentment quietly starts replacing willingness.
The Art of Saying No at Work is a practical, psychology-informed workshop about understanding why workplace boundaries can feel so difficult and learning ways to communicate a no while remaining respectful, professional and clear.
Because being a good colleague doesn’t mean always being available.

Is this workshop for you?

This workshop may be helpful if you…
✓ Say yes to tasks even when your workload is already full.
✓ Find it difficult to tell your manager you need more time.
✓ Take on work because you don’t want to disappoint your team.
✓ Feel guilty when you decline requests.
✓ Worry that saying no will make you seem lazy or unhelpful.
✓ Frequently work beyond your actual capacity.
✓ Struggle to communicate when your workload has become too much.
✓ Take responsibility for keeping everyone else happy at work.
✓ Say yes first and figure out how to manage it later.
